The concept of this piece focuses on the representation of a strong and bonding relationship of mentorship and respect. The artwork will depict blocks of knowledge drifting across the canvas to a point of a ‘guiding light’; blocks which nuance to the building of a solid and prosperous future. The use of greys and neutral colours aim to keep in tone with colours knowledge and respect, rather than passion and emotion, while the use of blurred planes, filtered light and shadowing emphasise the journey of the individuals’ bond as being dynamic and strong.
